Thanks to the overwhelming response, the Equilib Marathon Saddle Pad now comes in several sizes!  Find out which one is right for your equine athlete and how to adjust your shafts so that your equine really benefits from the new protection provided by the Marathon Armor! Pick the right size for your horse and carriage...

The tip of the shaft (sweet spot) is at:

  • Pony Size: 13.5” down from backbone and 4.5” forward from center of saddle
  • Horse Size: 14.5” down from backbone and 5” forward from center of saddle
  • Large Horse: 16” down from backbone and 5.5” forward from center of saddle
  • Extra Large Horse (Draft): 20” down from backbone and 7” forward from center of saddle

Many saddles don’t have lower tug loops to help stabilize the shafts so they don’t move too far forward and backward during maneuvers.

The new Equilib Pads provides a lower tug restraint strap that you can use with both saddles that do and do not have a lower tug restraint loop.
